Griswold School Parent Volunteers |
Griswold School has a parent volunteer program in which parents are trained and agree to assist in various classroom duties to aide teachers and students. The hours are flexible and parents may also do some work at home.
Volunteers contribute in the following valuable ways:
1. They work with children directly one to one or in small groups.
2. They help the teacher with clerical tasks so she/he can work with children directly.
3. They cover trade books.
4. They work in centers in the primary grades.
5. They make manipulatives to be used in the curriculum.
6. They help children write and sometimes type final publications.
7. They add support and bring knowledge to our school.
8. They help in the library. Click here for a Library Volunteer Form
Anyone interested in learning more about this program may contact the Griswold School Office at (860) 828-6336.
